• Take-a-Kid-Fishing, in which we annually take a group of 15-20 kids – many of whom have never even been in a boat on a lake – for an afternoon fishing trip aboard a launch out of Eddie’s Resort on Lake Mille Lacs.  For pictures of recent Take-a-Kid-Fishing events, click here.
• National Youth Program Utilizing Mini-Bikes (NYPUM), a time-tested and hugely successful program in which we assist in the rehabilitation of troubled and disadvantaged juveniles.
• Kids & Cops , in which supervised after-school athletic functions are established to help in creating a higher level of trust between at-risk youths in the community and local law enforcement.

We volunteer at Golden Valley’s annual safety camps for kids along with personnel from the City's Police and Fire Departments and the Park and Recreation Department.

Every year our members,along with family and friends, volunteer for holiday bell-ringing with the Salvation Army.

We also award scholarships annually.

Our primary annual fundraiser, a Gala and Silent Auction; is held in May each year at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club. We always have a wonderful variety of auction items including Twins, Vikings, and Timberwolve tickets, autographed baseballs and basketballs, YMCA memberships, homemade quilts and afghans, framed/numbered prints, etc. We typically sell over 200 tickets to this event. Proceeds are used to fund our community involvement and charitable donations.
